First of all, here is a little reminder of the instructions to preserve the PCU of your dead weight tester :
- Keep a clean and functional workstation
- Handle your masses one by one, place the heaviest first, go slowly
- Don't force the valves, open them slowly to avoid a sudden drop in pressure
- when transporting or storing your device, disassemble the PCU assembly from the bench and pack it properly
- Follow the disassembly instructions (attached document) during a new calibration.
However, if you happen to break the piston of your dead weight tester :
- by making a handling error (impact of a mass against the piston/cylinder assembly, rapid drop in pressure by opening the wrong valve, etc.)
- when transporting your device,
