Different solutions to replace it !

First of all, here is a little reminder of the instructions to preserve the PCU of your dead weight tester :

  • Keep a clean and functional workstation
  • Handle your masses one by one, place the heaviest first, go slowly
  • Don't force the valves, open them slowly to avoid a sudden drop in pressure
  • when transporting or storing your device, disassemble the PCU assembly from the bench and pack it properly
  • Follow the disassembly instructions (attached document) during a new calibration.

However, if you happen to break the piston of your dead weight tester :

  • by making a handling error (impact of a mass against the piston/cylinder assembly, rapid drop in pressure by opening the wrong valve, etc.)
  • when transporting your device,
  • etc…
